It is a portable anchorage device used to create a safe safety point at work sites where a fixed lifeline cannot be installed or is not preferred. XTR Safety wire rope portable lifelines are easy to install, portable and can be used in the range of 3-36 meters.
Portable (mobile) lifelines can be used in areas where fixed lifelines cannot be installed and in short-term work areas.
Mobile horizontal lifelines are fall arrest systems designed and certified according to EN 795:2012 Type C, CEN/TS 16415:2013.
Mobile horizontal lifelines can be manufactured from two different types of materials: textile and steel.
In mobile lifelines made of textile material, the deflection in a possible fall will be higher than the steel rope system. For this reason, mobile horizontal lifelines made of textile should be used for work at heights of 10 meters and above, taking into account the safe fall distance.
XTR Safety has two different types of mobile horizontal lifelines, one with steel rope and one made of textile.
XTR Safety mobile lifelines can extend up to 20 meters if made of textile material and up to 36 meters if made of steel. These products can be preferred according to the conditions of the working area and the distance between the anchor points, and the quantity of the mobile line can be adjusted according to the conditions of the site.
XTR Safety mobile horizontal lifelines require a pull-out value of 22kN at the anchor points, including the safety factor. Points that provide this strength can be selected for mobile lifeline installation. The following areas are not suitable for establishing a lifeline .
- Edge railings.
- Balcony or staircase railings.
- Portable ladders or steps.
- Plumbing pipes.
- Roof gutters, ducts and other pipes.
- Other connecting ropes.
- Roof chimneys
- Television antennas.
- Other unsuitable points with insufficient strength.
